Support Services

Online support group: Monday evenings 8pm - 10pm UK time

Email enquiry service: Queries answered and advice & support provided by trained counsellors
  • A support and recovery group is held on Thursdays, in the Loxford Polyclinic in Ilford, between 11:00am and 1:00pm. 2nd Floor, Room 244, Loxford Polyclinic, 417 Ilford Lane, IG1 2SN. Attendees are asked to make a contribution of £3 - £4.
  • A Support and Recovery Group is held in Dagenham from 1 - 2:45pm every Friday from 19th March - William Bellamy Children's Centre, Frizlands Lane, Dagenham, RM10 7HX. Attendees are asked to contribute £3 - £4.
  • New times from 2nd August 2010: A mutual support group for general anxiety, phobias and OCD is held 7:00-8:30pm on Mondays at the Redbridge Resource Centre, 497-499 Ley Street, corner of Perth Road, Ilford IG2 7QX. Attendees are asked to make a contribution of £3 if they are able to.
  • A structured recovery group is held on Tuesdays, 6.30-8.45pm at the Ley Street, Ilford venue. Attendees are asked to contribute £4 if they can afford it.
  • No appointment needed and no referral necessary for the above services - just come along!
  • Updated! The Self Development Group (formally Confidence Building classes) now runs in blocks of 8 sessions on Thursdays, 7.00-8.45pm at the Ley Street, Ilford venue, at a cost of £5 per session (£3 with concessions). Our next 8 week course will begin again in October (dates to be confirmed). If you are interested in attending this group or would like more information, call us on 020 8262 8891 to reserve your place.
Home visiting by trained volunteers at a cost of £7.50 to £40 per hour (sliding scale / concessions for the unwaged)
One to one counselling at £5 to £35 per 50 minute session (sliding scale / negotiable rates for the unwaged).
This service is staffed by specially trained volunteers
No potential client is turned away because of inability to pay.
Referrals are taken from the statutory services free of charge,
although a donation to the charity funds is always appreciated.
Group users are welcome to bring a family member or friend with them.
At present there are no Anxiety Care groups outside the region.

Potential volunteers must be available for training Tuesdays 10am-3.00pm and should note that all
volunteers have to take a twelve-week course regardless of previous qualifications and experience.
